*Gilbert Salcedo is the youth minister and coordinates the Youth Leadership Team members are Vanessa Oviedo and Valerie Salcedo and Anthony Flores. This team is working together to help develop youth in a stronger relationship with Christ. Our youth group name is "Separated." The youth here are always being challenged to go further in there commitment with Christ. Come and check out the youth sundays at 9:30 am for sunday school and wednesday nights at 7:00pm besides our regular gatherings we go on trips and do many activities throughout the year to help you build a relationship with Jesus and other Christian youth. Come, be a part of "Separated"

*Gilbert Salcedo es el Ministro de Juventud y coordinador del Equipo de Liderazgo de los Jóvenes. Los otros miembros son Valerie Salcedo y Vanessa Oviedo y Anthony Flores. El equipo está trabajando para ayudar a los jóvenes desarrollar una relación más fuerte con Cristo. El nombre de nuestro grupo es "Separado." Siempre se reta a los jóvenes a profundizar su compromiso con Cristo. Las reuniones regulares toman lugar los domingos a las 9:30 am en la Escuela Dominical y los miércoles a las 7:00 pm. Además de las reuniones regulares hay viajes y muchas otras actividades para ayudarte edificar una relación con Jesús y otros jóvenes cristianos. Ven, seas parte de “Separado.”

December 27-29 Tsunami State Youth Conference This event will be held in Long Beach Ca. The cost of the event will 137$ but the deposit to reserve your spot is 20$ and is due by Oct. 21. This years speakers will be Erwin Mcmanus, Wayne Chaney and the woship will be led by bands, Moi and Leeland

!YOUTH PRANKS¡

What started out as harmless fun between the boys and the girls is now turning into an all out war. While at a carwash some of the guys sprayed the girls with silly string, then at the sleepover the guys left strips of paper on Vanessas' doorstep and so the girls took revenge by breaking into Gilberts house and covering everything and mostly everyone in shaving cream. So the boys also took action, they went to Vanessa's and since the girls would not come out they just covered Vanessa's lawn and windows and also Julie's car with shavng cream. Then the girls got back at the guys by saying Vanessa was fined for the noise and damage. Just when the girls thought it was safe the boys went to vanessas' house and left flyers around her house and a poster with some of the youth guys pictures on it we didnt want to disrupt their study so we stayed dicreet they didnt even see it coming.

PowerPlant mission Trip June 9-13. This week long trip was a awesome experience where the youth learned about church planting and How they could make Christ a bigger part of there lives, our youth got to work with kids by doing a sports camp for the community where the kids got to learn new soccer techniques and had a small bible study that connected with their activities

Youth sleepover & wildwaters July 20-21: On Friday July 20th the youth had a blast doing a scavenger hunt in Riverpark from there the boys and girls separated to Gilbert's house and Vanessa's house. The night was full of fun and pranks. The next morning we packed up and headed to Wildwaters where the youth had a fun time enjoying each others company and of course the slides, overall it was a great time for everyone.

Studentlife July 31 -- August 4 : This week at Student Life the Youth were challenged to live in the here and now. The youth had a fun time at recreation doing teambuilding excercises and having water day, There were also some awesome studies. The speaker David Nasser Talked about how being a christian isnt supposed to be easy. He talked about how we as christians are supposed to be different and that others will notice the difference. He said our christian lives should be public not private. The skits that they had were really funny. and the youth also had family group time which was a small bible study led by Gilbert and Vanessa, there the youth really connected with each other by sharing struggles and hurts with each other. This week was an awesome experience for everyone, I guess we could even say it was Bodacious!
